If followed properly, the sacred heart 7 day diet is said to clean out any bodily impurity and hand over a feeling of good well-being. Its low-calorie offerings push some to hail it as the best diet to follow for weight loss. The sacred heart diet promises that you will begin to feel lighter by at least 10 pounds as well as experience an abundance of energy flowing through your body by simply following its rules for a full week.

While the sacred heart diet limits dieters to eat only a special type of soup for a period of seven days, it also has in its menu additional food items that range from vegetables to starches. The main component of the sacred heart diet is the soup. But on each of the 7 days, there are specific food items added to the formula. On the first day of the sacred heart 7 day diet, dieters are asked to consume any fruit except for bananas, after eating the soup. On the second day, dieters are allowed to eat any kind of vegetable (preferably leafy ones) until stuffed. Day three is all about taking the soup and some fruits and vegetables. By day four, dieters are asked to consume bananas and skim milk, day five, beef and tomatoes and day six, beef and veggies, with the soup. On day seven, dieters are tasked to prepare brown rice to accompany the soup.
